So now that it's all over, I want to say congratulations to all of
you for making progress this semester.
I want to say a
special congratulations to Ana and Thao, who were chosen as
outstanding students of their classes. The truth is that there were many
outstanding students--many stars--in both of these very special classes
and it wasn't easy to narrow that award down to just two of you.
And I want to praise Hamza for his totally memorable speech and Adam for his totally memorable solo!
Because
so many of you were great students, it made my job not only easy but a
lot of fun. I had some tough personal issues this term but I always looked forward to coming to class and seeing all of
you. I think we had a nice chemistry between us and we had a lot of
laughs. I will definitely miss you.
Having said that,
of course I hope you will stay in touch with me. If you're in Houston, please
drop by when you can. In general, the best way to contact me is by email
(holly_cin@yahoo.com). If there's anything I can do for you (within the
scope of my limited powers), please don't hesitate to ask.
The blog will remain open, so if you ever want to review your grammar, it's there for you :D
Of
course, should you have any grammar questions in the future, feel free
to shoot me an email. However, now that I am no longer your teacher, I
am officially your friend, so I will no longer correct your mistakes
when you speak or write to me, unless you specifically request for me to
do so :D
As I said, I will miss you guys. Thanks for a wonderful semester and I look forward to getting together with you soon in my new and improved home :)
Thank you for your compliment Holly. I can't wait for the party in your new house, looking forward to having fun with you again. Also, I absolutely won't be hesitant to ask you questions my friend ^^ if you need people to do Something ,just like we went to your house and cleaned it last time(of course I hope that won't happen again.) please don't hesitate to contact us as well, Chinese speaker team will show up first.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely take you up on your offer to help in about a month's time. And I will call the entire Chinese team back :)
DeleteAnd you will be expected to sing at the next party. We will have to track down a piano player and perhaps some other musicians. But you will definitely be singing. I can't believe that I didn't know about your talent the entire semester. I mean I knew that you had special talents, but I didn't know that singing was among them!
Thanks for everything. I appreciate your patience with all of us; you were very helpful and cooperative with us during the semester. I wish you the best, and I hope we can see you again one day. God bless you :)
ReplyDeleteWaynak yesterday, Abdul??? It was a very special graduation and you were noticeably absent :(
DeleteYou should have come!
You WILL see me again some day. Just come and find me at the LCC :)
Holly, all we can say at this moment is just the the word "thank you!". For everything. For just being yourself bevause you has always been more than what we expected.
ReplyDeleteEven though we can't learn with you anymore, but we'll always remember your lessons.
Even thought we can't be your students anymore, but you will be and must always be our teacher. (Even you want it or not.)
And be prepared! We will shoot our email at you any time we get appropriate reasons. Don't be worry because none of which will relate with dirvoce issues.
We all love you!!!
My Terrible Thao,
DeleteWe need a MARRIAGE before we can even talk about divorce! Please invite me to the wedding!
Yours, Horrible Holly
Thank you for all you had done for us. You are an excellent and smart teacher. Having seen you caring about your student and their learning the language is what makes you special teacher. You taught us "good English".
ReplyDeleteThat you care is what I like about you.wish you all the best .
Than you for an amazing semester. I hadn't had such a good semester till I became your student. Every time I think about leaving the LCC cuts some part of my heart. All I can do is thanking you.
